This is the first story I have ever read by Ben Bridges. The more I got into the story, the more I had to wonder, what took me so long to read something by this author.
This was a great western. From the first page it held my attention and I couldn't stop reading until I got to the end. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I loved getting the background on the characters. If I don't care about them, why would I want to read a story about them? Ben makes you not only care for the characters, but root for them.
This was a highly enjoyable read and one that I recommend! I know I will be reading more of Ben's westerns in the future!

The author has great emotional abilities, and knows how to show human feelings. The characters in this story had to deal with several life problems all at the same time.
Good read. Different. Could be gruesome in places. Somewhat of a surprise ending.
i have read couple of this man's books this one was a little different than most. I was pleasantly surprised. the story did not look like it was going anywhere but the author pulled it off and brought the story together I think he did an excellent job and I think he will get better
The author did a good job of "Painting the picture" plot. I could visualize the individuals, the country side and the turn of events. I found it difficult to put this book down.
This was another good Ben Bridges western adventure.
Ingredients Dying sheriff, new sheriff with personal issues, crazy outlaw, outlaw's granddad, indifferent town folks, a giant Cougar that's out to kill for killings sake.
Mix together and you've got a nice readable story that should satisfy the appetite of most western readers.
Was an exciting read. Kept me wanting to read another page felt !like I was right there hearing the shush shush as the wild cat was stalking.
Ben described everything very vividly to make you feel right there .
I really loved the suspense. Well done. I believe anyone will enjoy to. Thank you Ben for the great work.
