I was hooked with just the few first reminiscing paragraphs of a news-wire reporter life, and loved the mention to the UPI cap. But then the author takes you to a completely different dimension, with the development of a conversation about souls, reincarnation, the oh so important free will, pantheism, cyclic civilizations and so many other issues that have been plaguing the human mind and spirit from the beginning of times. In all these topics, J.R. Randell's encyclopedic knowledge, his clear, direct journalistic writing style and humor make a pleasure to read the book.
